When I discovered Sarah’s beautiful wildflower embroidery, I asked her if she would create an exclusive design for me inspired by my summer meadow walks. I had a mix of wild buttercups and meadow grasses in my head and Sarah created exactly that. She has embroidered this little buttercup and grass meadow freehand onto a natural linen as an exclusive for These Two Hands. The zipped pouch is lined in a pretty tana lawn cotton and measures 18x12cm. Perfect for storing life’s little essentials.
Sarah works in a wooden cabin in her large garden in the beautiful countryside of the Sussex Weald where I grew up. Her work is heavily influenced by the natural environment that surrounds her, including wild and garden flowers. She has been freehand machine sewing for almost 30 years, creating beautiful designs using this wonderful technique of ‘drawing with thread’. Her embroidery can be found on greetings cards, pouches and linen aprons as well as framed hoop artwork for the home.
Measurements are approx. 18cm x 12cm. Please note that as each embroidery is stitched freehand the design that you receive may differ slightly from the image shown. This gives each pouch a unique quality.
