I couldn’t resist adding these beautiful new autumnal leaf earrings by Dreamspell Jewellery to my collection. Each leaf earring has been individually hand fabricated using a technique called fold forming. This involves folding sheet brass to create a central seam. Sophie then draws the leaf freehand onto the metal which is then pierced out, hammered to give texture, filed, polished and shaped to give a realistic 3d leaf, making each pair completely unique. They hang from sterling silver earhooks.
They are inspired by Sophie’s favourite past time, walking amongst fallen leaves in autumn in the woodlands surrounding her home in North Cornwall. The copper and brass colours translate so well to the rich colours of this season and are a wonderful reminder of that seasonal joy.
These earrings are available in a choice of two sizes – short 3.5cm and medium 4cm – including the ear wire.
