As a trained ceramicist and gardener with a love of plants and the natural world all Helen’s work is inspired by nature. She loves texture and impresses into the clay what she collect on her walks and grows in her garden. This beautiful dish is made from the imprint of a magnolia leaf.
All her pieces are hand built and unique using a stoneware clay. She uses a variety of oxides and stains to highlight the details and fires everything just once fire as it gives a more natural effect and is better for the environment.
Helen’s work is very robust and frost proof due to its high firing to 1240C making it easy to care for. Either hand wash or put in the top of the dish washer. Each one is unique due to the nature of handmade.
