I love the nature-inspired designs created by Sophie of Dreamspell Jewellery in Cornwall. She is always foraging for nature treasures and in autumn she is particularly drawn to the beauty of organic shapes found in the form of seed pods, as I am. She has an abundance of poppy seed heads in the wildflower bed outside her workshop and loved the idea of how beautiful they could look encapsulated in silver, so she created just that. We bonded over our love of autumn and nature and I asked her to make these necklaces with this gorgeous green kyanite stone especially for my collection.
These poppy seedhead necklaces are cast in solid sterling silver from the real thing using the poppy pod as a charm that sits alongside a beautiful green kyanite stone, a soft leafy shade. The stone has been set in a simple bezel setting. The pod has been given a patina and then polished back to reveal all the organic detail and texture. Both charms hang freely from a 18 inch sterling silver spiga chain which has also been given a patina and then polished back. These necklaces are something really special and unique and make the perfect gift for someone special and unique who loves nature!
