Description

These beautiful little moccasin booties are handcrafted by Rose Choules in Bude, using local shearling (sheepskin), super soft suede and leather laces. They have a fleecy in-sock, are elasticated through the collar making them extra cosy and easy to slip on, as well as stopping them from falling off too easily! Each pair comes in a cute little printed canvas bag.

Purchasing a size up is recommended so there is some growing room. If in doubt you can measure the length of your babies foot and check against the measurements below.

Maker

Rose Choules is a super talented and lovely woman I met years ago through a larger fashion company I was consulting for who stocked some of her designs. She crafts beautiful moccasins, clogs and bags in her workshop in Bude. I helped her with marketing and she taught me to make moccasin slippers and we have become good friends. She was the first maker I approached to be part of These Two Hands as I want everyone to discover her beautiful work!

Inspired by a trip to Canada’s Northern Saskatchewan to visit and share skills with cree artisans, a baby moccasin collection was developed. A child’s first pair of moccasins are rich in personal meaning and memories, becoming a nostalgic treasure for future generations. Rose has since had her own baby girl who is the perfect new model for her beautiful baby shoes and is focussing on developing this range further.
