Seedhead Monoprint Earthenware Coffee Cups

by Wendy Calder

These beautiful coffee cups are a These Two Hands exclusive. I love Wendy Calder’s ceramics and I’ve stocked her two-tone earthenware since I launched, but I wanted something a bit more fresh and summery to add to the tableware range so I asked if she would make some trial cups with a green print on the white earthenware and here are the results. Choose from dandelion, cowslip or allium seedhead monoprints in forest green glaze on white earthenware square edged cups. I am so happy with how these have turned out and they are very limited edition. Each one is handmade in her studio around the corner from me in Bristol.

All cups hold 10oz/285ml. Cups may vary slightly from images as each piece is handmade and unique.

Dimensions: Height 6cm x Width 9cm
Care: Dishwasher and microwave safe, however Wendy recommends hand washing them with care.

I discovered Wendy Calder’s ceramics at a small craft market in Brislington, Bristol and fell in love with the beautiful cow parsley, dandelion and allium designs. I chose these new ‘scraffito’ two-tone coffee cups and milk jugs for These Two Hands as they are real stand-out pieces to me. Wendy is inspired by the nature all around her, in her lovely studio garden and in the local nature reserve. Graduating from Bath Spa University in BA Hons Ceramics, she has been making ceramics since 1996. She runs private pottery lessons and courses (I’ve done one and I’m already planning another!) and children’s parties. Wendy is someone who makes everyone feel at home with her warmth and generosity and I think her beautiful ceramics bring that warmth and happiness in to your home too.
