Soy Scented Candle Travel Tins

by Hazel & Blue

I discovered Becky, the woman behind Hazel & Blue Candles, on Instagram and loved everything about her ethos. Inspired by nature and the seasons, her lovely hand poured soy candles are made from natural eco-friendly, high quality 100% soy wax and a blend of premium fragrance oil all sourced in the UK. She uses clean cotton wicks and recyclable containers – these tins are great for storage. She makes everything by hand in small batches in her kitchen in Wiltshire. These candle tins are perfect for people who like to use candles in different rooms or spaces. They’re compact and portable and fit into a weekend luggage bag or handbag. They burn longer and cleaner than paraffin wax. 3 of each fragrance left and now in the sale for only £7.

Botanical & Vetiver blends the delicate scent of rare botanical orchid with a spicy accent of anise and the warmth of vetiver, amber and clove, creating an unique and calming scent. I hadn’t heard of Vetiver before, but it’s an Indian grass known for its healing properties.

Orange Blossom is a brand new scent, fresh and floral and perfect for summer. It’s a vibrant citrus fragrance with top notes of sweet mandarin combined with orange blossom and jasmine.

Sea Salt & Wood makes me think of campfires on the beach. It’s a lovely warm scent with top notes of Sage and Grapefruit, Tangerine and Bergamot and bottom notes of Amber & Cedar wood.

Burn time: approx 25 hours per candle.

Candle Care: Burn the candle for up to 2 hours for the first burn. Trim the wick 4mm before each use. The recommended maximum burn time each time is 3-4 hours. Keep away from children and drafts, and always burn on a level surface.

I discovered Becky through Instagram and met to find out more about her story and her lovely candles. She’s a beautiful warm person who is also a hospice nurse and wanted to created candles that would help heal and help people to create a sanctuary in their home. Like me, she’s a huge nature lover and inspired by all things natural and the seasons in particular. Every season she creates fragrances that really sum up the feel of that time of year. She hand pours everything in her home kitchen in Wiltshire.

The name Hazel & Blue comes from the colours of her children’s eyes. She started candle making in 2016 after discovering a love for it from getting a candle-making set to try with with her daughter over the summer holidays, and she launched Hazel & Blue in January 2017. Her ingredients are all UK sourced, her glass jars are from Wales and are fully recyclable and her travel tins can be reused for storage.
