Wildflower Meadow Special Edition Wooden Print

by BooLouLew

I first met Beth of BooLouLew at a local market and we bonded over our mutual love of leaves and pinecones and our little girls bonded over a love of rolling on the floor! We have become great friends and her designs are perfect for the These Two Hands collection! Beth uses the Woodcut printmaking process to create her beautiful prints on paper, wood or fabric (you can read all about the process in the Maker tab). This special edition A4 Wooden Art print is the perfect gift for any nature loving friend or a little treat for yourself. It features a selection of wildflowers found in spring in her sustainably managed woodland in North Cornwall, including Lady’s Smock, Red Campion, Mustard Garlic, Wild Garlic, Speedwell, Wild geranium, Daisies, Buttercups, primrose and her daughter’s favourite ‘Dandylionas’.

These unique special edition art prints on Wood offer a unique frameless art print, with loads of character! Each print comes with a fixed hook ready to hang or could be framed in a box frame. Carefully hand printed onto beautiful smooth unfinished plywood using high quality artists ink. Each print comes in a protective film and a reinforced envelope to ensure safe arrival. This print is also available printed on high quality white paper and as a special edition black and embossed gold print.

Beth is a Bristol-based artist and mum I met at a market. She runs woodcut printing workshops and created beautiful nature-inspired prints. Beth uses the Woodcut printmaking process to create her beautiful prints – she transfers her designs onto blank plywood, then carefully carves away all the areas she doesn’t want to print, leaving behind a raised design in reverse. She then rolls over the wooden block with a thin layer of ink, carefully lays paper, wood or fabric on top and applies even pressure to create unique and affordable art!

Beth owns an area of woodland in North Cornwall that she and her husband are transforming into a workshop space, festival and glamping site, forest school and site for all kinds of other fun nature-inspired activities.
