Over the past few years, I’ve been growing more flowers and herbs and playing around with drying them. This Twilight posy is an updated version of one I did a couple of years ago named moonlight. I chose the name because of the blue and white mix of colours. I also collected meadow grasses earlier this year to keep their early greens, and added in cornflowers which I managed to grow for the first time this year. All of these inspired this wild dried posy which reminds me of the stillness of water in the evening, the calm of lavender, and the round of the moon. It goes beautifully with my smokey sloe blue stoneware vase but looks great in a simple glass milk bottle.
Posies include a mix of dried echinops, cornflowers, verbena, white yarrow, lavender, poppy seedheads, marjoram and green meadow grasses. As they are individually made up, each posy will vary slightly and there are only a few available.
Each posy is tied with blueish purple raffia to complement the colours in the posy. They are carefully packaged in wood wool and a large box to ensure the blooms aren’t damaged in the post.
Size: ca 25 to 30 flower and grass stems per posy
Colours: Blues, Greens, Purples and Whites
