The Field Margin Original Lino Print

Availability: In stock

I discovered Becca and her work when I opened my physical shop in Bristol as she lives a few streets away and I couldn’t believe I hadn’t come across her beautiful nature-inspired work sooner. I love her nature-inspired linocut prints. This Field Margin print is a favourite of mine and it’s so fresh and spring-like. This landscape print showcases some of the huge diversity of wildlife and plants that thrive in field margins – the uncropped borders of land between arable farmland and hedgerows or other borders. Along with hedgerows and verges, they help form a network of wildlife corridors, linking up otherwise isolated larger habitats. Research has shown that maintaining proper field margins increases the numbers of animals that naturally prey on crop pests like aphids, including ground beetles, finches, hoverflies and ladybirds, and so reduces the need for pesticides. Shortlisted in the World Illustration Awards 2023.

Original linocut print on handmade Lokta paper. Edition of 50. Size: approx 56x24cm. Comes packaged flat against board and wrapped in biodegradable cellophane.
