I’m excited to be organising my first Christmas market at my studio in BS4. I’ve run a few Summer Solstice markets and other events there, and this year I really wanted to host a festive market to celebrate locally made gifts from other local makers that I love but don’t have room to stock in my shop.
I also wanted to run my wild wreath workshops for families as part of the market. There are 3 x 1-hour sessions available to book for families to make a beautiful Christmas wreath together. There will be mulled wine, lots of homemade sweet treats (including my husband Charlie’s amazing mince pies!) and 15 lovely stalls indoors and out.
We’ll be raising money for St Mungo’s homelessness charity on the day too to support the brilliant work they do. No-one should have to spend Christmas on the streets and I think St Mungo’s are the most down-to-earth homelessness charity that get out on the streets and really talk to homeless people and help them learn new skills, find jobs and get back on their feet. 10% of all mulled wine and cake sales will be donated to St Mungo’s at the market and you can donate to them separately via their collection station.
